I plugged in a USB memory stick filled with picture taken over the years and it did not register any response. I unplugged and replugged it. After plugging in a third time, a blue screen immediately came up All I know is it said unexpected error something and shutting down and then restarting.

I had used this exact same USB stick days before the 10th with no issues. After the computer restarted itself, I tried to plug it in again.

I have already verified that the USB itself is not corrupt. It works perfectly normal on a desktop and gaming console. Later on, when I had tried to shut down, the logging off screen was on for over 15 mins. Also never had this issue before So I just held the power button until it shut off as I was tired by this time and couldn't risk leaving it on for an unknown amount of time Since the 10th, upon completing laptop use, I had just been hibernating rather than shutting down.

NO issues. However, I had the same shutting down issue again. The logging off screen was on for a very long time again. So I used the same method to shut it off and I searched online for how to find out what errors occured.

What's going on? Am I going to be able to use any USB devices again??? Please Help! Answers in layman's terms would be appreciated. This thread is locked.
